"Octo-oh, no"

Films: Tentacles (1977)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: Three times that of an average octopus.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: And so this is where it truly begins. The long dizzying list of films that looked at "Jaws", and said to themselves, "I can do that, but better". But let's lay off the sharks for a moment to capitalize on the most notorious of cephalopods.

History: The workaholics at the Ocean Beach resort have really done it without trying, this time. In their efforts to build an underwater tunnel, the radio signals have been raised to such an extent that a particularly large octopus is driven insane by it all. Now it's on the warpath and killing tourists everywhere.

Notable Kills: It's very first kill is a baby. Literally, it grabs the tyke off the land from a distance. Let's just move onto its Final Fate.

Final Fate: Two orcas, Summer and Winter, are sent to kill the octopus. They proceed to rip it apart and kill it.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-It's hard not to be wary of an intelligent sea monster with enough limbs to pull your entire boat down, but the octopus is mostly played by sock footage and a really crappy puppet.

Trivia: -This film was directed by Ovidio G. Assonitis, who previously directed "Beyond the Door".

-Orcas and octopi have never come into conflicts. The giant pacific octopus' natural enemies include eels, cod, sharks, and dolphins.

Why name this after octopus eggs again?

As if it wasn't filled with obese washouts already.

I really think there's hateful feeling in those eyes.
This could have been a tale of a most unconventional love.

What a lousy way to start off the tourist season.

Should we tell the director to stop playing with that octopus corpse?
Look at those cute beady eyes! Now, let's run for the hills.

Release the Italian knock-off Kraken!

The savage, yet honorable, killer of the deep Vs. the multi-armed psychopath.
